I am a total geek. This defines me strongly enough that yes, it is the first thing I write on an online profile. *Laughs*

Easily distracted by beautiful things. Easily distracted, period. :)

My hair changes color at whim.

My first two celebrity crushes were Yul Brenner and Gene Kelly. Current celebrity crushes are David Beckham and Lin-Manuel Miranda. Also the entire cast of "Critical Role."

My favorite things are language, pop culture, architecture, travel, and soccer.

A few additional things about me and about my journal...

* I am bipolar. This does not define me, but it is a huge part of who I am and how I address the world. I try to be as open about this as I can, as I thinking hiding the disease does more harm than good.

* I love my family. Fiercely. I am the middle of five kids, and I tend to talk about my family a lot. Whether it's the awesome things they've done, my love of my nieces and nephews, or how much they piss me off... I usually don't hold back.

* Grew up in Alaska, but moved to Boston just because I could.

* After living in Massachusetts for 10 years I am ready again for more adventures. I just wish I knew what that next adventure will be.
